PE Clear Film (Grade A)

Any mix of clear or natural polyethylene film, Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE) or Linear Low-Density Polyethylene film (LLDPE), totaling at least 98% clear or natural polyethylene film that has met its intended use generated from commercial sources is accepted. Includes stretch wrap, shrink wrap, and clear, natural bags.

*Includes lightly printed film packaging (less than 2% of surface covered in ink) Total contaminants should not exceed 2% by weight. 

 

THE FOLLOWING CONTAMINANTS ARE NOT ALLOWED AT ANY LEVEL:  

  • Black colored or heavily printed polyethylene films  

  • Any non-PE films, metallized or multi- material pouches  

  • Silicone coated film  

  • Film with oxo or bio degradable additives, PVDC layers or acrylic coatings  

  • Any rigid plastic bottle, container or packaging including PET (#1), HDPE (#2), PVC(#2), LDPE/LLDPE (#4), PP (#5), PS (#6), Other (#7) and compostable plastic (e.g.PLA and PHA).  

  • Any bulky rigid plastic  

  • Any plastic foam  

  • Food waste  

  • Free-flowing liquids  

  • Loose paper or cardboard (OCC)  

  • Textiles  

  • Metal, Wood or Glass  

  • Large metal items, such as pipes, hammers, rods from recycling totes, etc.;  

  • Batteries, electronic waste, circuit boards, etc.;  

  • Containers which held oils, grease, pesticides, herbicides, flammable, corrosive or reactive products;  

  • Medical and hazardous waste;  

  • Miscellaneous waste, such as wood, textiles, etc.
